Research Initiative II: Contextual Research and Solutions for Tanah Papua

Research Initiative II is an opportunity for young, motivated Papuan students who are interested in learning or further enhancing their research skills by intensive training with mentors from Papua Center America. This research program is a 12-week research program with once-a-week meeting schedule (about 4 hrs commitment per week) starting the first weeks of March 2026. The purpose of this research is to challenge students’ perspectives on problems facing Papua today, train scholars from multidisciplinary backgrounds how to do sound research works, develop critical thinking, learn how to solve problems as a team, project management, and finally presenting student’s works to stakeholders.

This program will be very useful for students who are seeking to complete certain school research projects, thesis, or other university’s course-level works. (Please contact any PCA officer if you are working on certain project in your University, we would like to connect you to the right work and right people).
